Ignite: Fueling AAPI Business Growth

The Asian Business Empowerment Council (ABEC) is partnering with Prepshift to develop a first-of-its- kind, hands-on business support program specifically for AAPI-owned restaurants: Ignite.

This program is here to help you grow your foodservice business with restaurant expert-led sessions on capital access, financial management, menu optimization, hiring, and technology. Join our info session on October 21 from 10am-11am to learn more!

Program Overview

  • 8 weeks of in-person and Zoom programming in Spring 2025 with optional weekly office hours

  • Program cost of $6,000 is due in February 2025 and is fully reimbursable upon completion

  • Application open from October 11-31

Program Eligibility

  • Businesses must be in Massachusetts and up to date on tax obligations (sales tax, annual filings)

  • Business must have foodservice operations

  • Participating owner must be a W-2 employee

  • For our pilot cohort, participating owner must be proficient in written and spoken English

  • Businesses with $500K+ in annual revenue, female and/or immigrant owners, and 3+ years of operations are especially encouraged to apply
